At only twenty-two, Blake Paul rides like someone much older and wiser. Over the last few years, this Jackson Hole native has quietly learned how to stomp the shit out of tech tricks in the backcountry, as well as traveled the world learning the ins and out of riding all kinds of varied terrain. This was a good year for Blake; everywhere he went he stacked a bunch of tricks. From a rail mission in Boston to “off piste” jumps in Europe, Blake’s footy folder was one of the most stacked of anyone filming for The SNOWBOARDER Movie. One striking thing that you’ll notice looking through his shots is that he has some pretty insane crashes, but always seems to manage to get the clip. Blake has an ultra casual style that makes his clips a pleasure to watch. We hope you enjoy all of Blake’s shots from the filming of The Snowboarder Movie: SFD.
With every video and video part that drops there are countless shots and endless moments that never see the light of day and The SNOWBOARDER Movie: SFD was no exception. Sometimes, some of the rider’s favorite shots or filmer’s favorite angles don’t always make the final cut. Whether they didn’t quite fit in the song, another angle was used, or a certain trick was done again, there’s always great stuff that is talked about by the riders and people involved, but other than that, it’s as if it never existed.
This year, we decided to tap into the computers and pull out everyone’s unedited timelines and hunt down the treasures that, for whatever reason, didn’t make it in or were cut short. SFD Uncut will let you into the edit room and see more from every rider.
